Boss photos you've taken

I have a Nikon D3100, pretty good from what I read for noobs like me

Bilboz, I expect to see an effort later this evening!

Gave my skateboard deck some wheels

EF50mm lens, at f/6.3 for 5 seconds at ISO 100.

The room was totally dark. The glass was placed on a sheet of black acrylic, and behind was a sheet of black cloth.

It took maybe a dozen or more attempts to find the right exposure time - many too short so not enough light paint, or too long and way to much pattern.

The torch was an ordinary household small one, not particularly powerful, small bulb, double AA battery sized I think. All I did then was position the light near the rim of the glass to start off (for making the "straw") and I just waved it around rapidly behind the glass while the shutter was open.

When I had taken them all the light was crap so I had to use Photoshop to change the colour from nasty grey/white into orange and burning like.

@ Millea - thanks for the kudos m8, but I ain't that good, honest. Bugs are my forte. Spiders and flies etc. Macro. And just got a long lens for birds but that needs more practice. :)
