My (15 years old) daughter had her Prom night on the 3rd, and this is one of her in the BMW Convertible she was chauffeured in, to the event.

She looked lovely, even if a proud dad says so himself!"

Ive took a lot of photos watching footy, but of all of them, I think this is my favourite. One of my favourite away grounds, the lighting, the crowd, its just beautiful. Everything I love about football.

This picture deserve an oscar.

This statue, by Derbyshire artist Denis O’Connor, is dedicated to the people who built the canals, is situated at the Ribble Link where the new canal leading to the River Ribble joins the old Lancaster Canal at Cottam, near Preston. It's a newly designed statue to replace the Gauging the Ripple statue, and believe it or not, this cost £30,000.

Paul.

That thing is bloody ugly...

Finally got the 70D back today from the service centre, but no time to really test it to see if the service has improved anything - I had only 10 minutes before the evening meal was ready and having got in from work.

Went hunting for a subject and all I could find was a small jumping spider in a dark corner of the bedroom window, and so this was handheld and to almost too dark to really bother with, hence the push in processing to bring it to white from a nasty cream coloured background...

Amazing picture, mate.

Why spiders though? Why not flowers or something nice? :)

Ok a few from me.

First a couple from my first 2 fishing trips with my Son Jack who is 7. First trip he got a couple of Roach to 1.5lb and the second he got a 10lb Carp.

Roach below

The Carp, not a great angle but he couldn't lift it and it was very skittery so wanted to get it back asap. Greta fish for him though put a big fight and a big jump from a Roach to a big carp.

This fella lives beneath an ornamental flag stone in the front garden. Big fella, about two inches across the leg span, maybe a bit more. I can expect him to survive a while too, as he seemed to be sharing his home area with just slugs, and a few dead remnants of his victims to date...

Natural light only.

Jack looks pleased as punch with the contents of that landing net!

Nice one dude!

Yeah it was so heavy he couldn't get the net up. Shame it was the only fish he got, finding it hard to get public lakes we can fish locally, most are club lakes and we don't go enough to afford it yet they are the best ones to fish.
