Boss photos you've taken

The Antaris festi was alright...played a lot of that too-cool-for-school minimal/prog sound, plenty of obvious full-on, and only a bit of tasty old-school goa, or even neo-goa. Not much dark or forest to be had, either.

Juno Reactor was almost a disaster. The mic's didn't work properly, and the sound-mix was missing bass for some tracks.

Here's some impressions...

Farnborough Airshow. Went on Sunday due to the poor weather on Saturday. A few singles followed by a few collages to save on picture spam :)

Nice, how did you like it? My Dad was there also. That Red Arrows pic is pretty cool, looks like one of those overlayed/action shots... :)

Show was great, we were right next to the runway, the sounds were amazing, one thing the shots cant do is give that feeling the noise gives, the FA 18 Super Hornet on takeoff was amazing and the harrier hovering unbelievable.

Never seen so many people crammed in to one space, you couldn't move for people but everyone was having a great time. Its really got me pumped for the Bournemouth Airshow in 5 weeks now.

The Mason Wasps, genus Ancistrocerus, are all very similar. The basic color is black, covered with yellow lines and other yellow markings. There are at least 12 Ancistrocerus species in Britain and they are very difficult to identify, but this one appears to be A. parietum, one of the two most common to the UK.

The females look for a good place to build a nest. That may be a hole in a tree used by a beetle but man made holes in wood are also accepted happily. The wider the hole the bigger the cells in the nest are. In the past Mason Wasps were considered to be closely related to the Potter Wasps and they are still often referred to as such.

This is as far as I know, that I have ever seen one for certain, let alone photographed one (even if it is not the best due to hand held camera shake!).

Just landed a couple of feet into the boughs of the apple tree a short while ago.

Wasps. Most people don't like them but they can prove useful. Not too sure what this one was planning, but it did grab hold of a dandelion seed. To be honest, at first I thought it had maybe been bitten by a spider and had web on it, but on close examination, it was the said seed. Anyhow, either way, I think it was possibly dying as the wasp was rather lethargic, and reasonably co-operative!
