... this skilfully constructed tall chimney of limestone which stands on the shoreline at Jenny Brown's point is the only remains of a copper smelting works established at the end of the 18th century. A deep channel enabled shipping to dock at the now ruined jetty, conveying machinery for the enterprise.
The one above was taken with the sun behind me, and then I whiled away some time until the sun went lower in the sky to shoot back into the light. I did underexpose in error, so I had to do a touch of HDR. This also introduced noise, so I also did a black and white version to help mask it.
