This caterpillar I found dangling on strand of silk, so I gathered it up and put it on a small piece of old wood. The background colour changed after the first when I moved the wood around to get more direct light from the sun (diffused by the clouds). All in natural light.
Wish I had seen the spider mite at the time, would have tried to get it in the focal plane/DoF... Still, can't have everything...

Couple of late night Globular Springtails, on the inside of a garden planter (one of them ceramic like ones, painted on the outside, not the inside).
