Patagonia is pretty awesome. Left the connector cable for our 8 year old and mediocre digital camera at home, so am posting pics taken with a phone. Yeah, with a phone. No cred to me, all to Mother Nature and Padre Plate Tectonics.
Perito Moreno Glacier not far from El Calafate, Argentina. Stands about 70 feet tall or so. Got to see some calvings during lunch.
Mount Fitz Roy outside El Chalten, Argentina. Was a 10km hike in, last "1km" was allegedly 400m up. Felt like I was Frodo climbing Mount Doom. Had to stop every 30-40 feet at each switchback to suck in wind. No way it was only 400m. People coming up the final 10th KM of the way in were smaller than the very very tiny ants that we just can't get out of our Asuncion apartment.
