Boss photos you've taken

On a piece of wood in the garden tonight - three bugs - a plant bug, a globby, and a white-legged millipede (Tachypodoiulus niger I think)...

Paul.

what kind is this mate

That's awesome dude.

It is a woodlouse spider - named because they are often found close to woodlice funnily enough! They are usually to be found under stones and logs in warm places. They hunt at night without the use of a web. Their diet not surprisingly, is comprised exclusively of woodlice. This species has especially powerful jaws that can pierce into woodlice's outer shells. It is a fairly frequently seen spider and widespread in much of Britain, but I have never seen one as far as I can recall.

One up on me then...

not me mate, someone asked what it was on twitter so I said i'd ask our resident bug expert.

Patagonia is pretty awesome. Left the connector cable for our 8 year old and mediocre digital camera at home, so am posting pics taken with a phone. Yeah, with a phone. No cred to me, all to Mother Nature and Padre Plate Tectonics.

Perito Moreno Glacier not far from El Calafate, Argentina. Stands about 70 feet tall or so. Got to see some calvings during lunch.

Mount Fitz Roy outside El Chalten, Argentina. Was a 10km hike in, last "1km" was allegedly 400m up. Felt like I was Frodo climbing Mount Doom. Had to stop every 30-40 feet at each switchback to suck in wind. No way it was only 400m. People coming up the final 10th KM of the way in were smaller than the very very tiny ants that we just can't get out of our Asuncion apartment.

good shots mate and a beautiful part of the world. I saw a massive chunk of ice fall off the glacier and the noise it made was incredible. Saw the sun rise behind Fitz Roy and it was stunning.
