Boss photos you've taken

This is a Barkfly, with eggs

Didn't realise it when I first took the first photo, then as I checked that the focus was OK by zooming in the screen on the camera, I spotted eggs behind her, and she then proceeded to tend them as I watched...

She is approximately 3mm long I reckon.

These are all fairly similar, but I was looking for the better angle so processed them all :)

Panoramic off the Coronado Scenic Byway aka. old Route 666 the 'Devil's Highway' in Eastern Arizona. Fantastic drive...there are an estimated 1000 +/- curves over about 90-something miles in the section I drove. I did it South to North, which is going uphill with 6k+ ft of elevation change, but I'll deffo be doing it downhill at some point. No guard rails in sight!

The massive Morenci copper mine at the south end of said route...hard to actually comprehend the size of this thing from a pic but it's one of the biggest copper mines in the world and this is just part of it.

Cracking view that !

What a fantastic moth. Ever so patient with me - and even stepped onto my finger a few times. Never seen one this close before, and that it allowed me to take so many (about 20 different ones) surprised me a little. It is a "Poplar Hawk Moth".
