The other Rob (equine photographer) let me have his old 40D to play with and I have borrowed a couple of lenses. Included my fave the Venus. Looking at getting a newer used camera body (could do with a replacement for my old body!)....

Yeah, I saw it on Facebook. Very nice of him to let you have the camera, he's a bloody nice chap.
Just picked up a used 760D and this is a quick pic of a spider on a brick in the garden. Lighting was constant LED ringflash.

Noticed afterwards a bonus springtail under the spider's legs!

Went for a little hike around Newsham Park today.
Lovely day for it. A bit windy but sin was otherwise cracking the flags.
Only saw a couple of dog walkers and a handful of people fishing - the place was otherwise deserted!
