Boss photos you've taken

My Mrs asked me yesterday what I want for Christmas, I said a blond 21 year old Russian called Olga, but she said no to that.
I've always thought about photography, so my question is.
Where will I get a decent camera for say £300, and how do I learn to use it, or take good photos I mean, any good online courses or tips.
I recommend getting a point and shoot camera to start. I took a lot of great pics with one of those before I moved on to the more expensive DSLRs.

One of the best tips I learned when starting photography was the rule of thirds. If you are just taking a photo of one person, group of people, or a landscape scene then center the subject. For all other photos, imagine the scene is divided into thirds. Position your subject on where the imaginary lines of the scene intersect. I attached examples of what I mean.

Hope this helps!

Something with full manual control so that you learn to tell the camera what you want from it. ~That way you wont be constrained by odd lighting conditions, a second hand lightly used something like Nikon d7500 will be a top start point, don't need to go a bundle on lenses, used a kit zoom lens and see what type of photography suits you best, then you can decide what lanes are appropriate to that.

Thanks a lot

Hey yeah I get that, thanks a lot. See now I'd have put the subjects right in the middle.
I was just looking at the nEOS 4000D, some good reviews for a beginners camera

I've been watching loads of vids on youtube in preparation for getting my new camera at Christmas (I went for Canon 2000D) so I'll be flooding this place once I start.
I never knew there was so much involved in making good photos, shutter speed, aperture, ISO. Then rule of thirds, leading lines, lighting, shadow, composition, the list is endless.
There's an Australian lad on youtube called Chris Bray, his lessons are informative and so easy to understand.
