Was there in the summer, and got the boat from the pier there. Very beautiful and some great walks. Had fun coming down the hill on the otherside there in the rain one day!! My gf wasn't so impressedA couple of photos from a wedding I photographed today up in Bowness.

That was in Harrisonburg VA; I live about 20 min outside of it in the country. So about 5hrs from you or so.

Cool. I didn't realize you live in the US. My husband was born in Radford, VA. His dad lives just outside Blacksburg so before the pandemic we traveled there a few times a year.
Have you ever been to Asheville?
Yeah, the whole Shenandoah Valley (we are at the top of it) is beautiful. Been to Blacksburg/Radford many times (there is a great art museum and also a great pinball museum in Roanoke). I have been to Asheville but only as a kid (this was definitely before the microbrew explosion), but I've been to Boone more recently and it seems, as far as landscape, is similar to Asheville. I have plans with my gal to go to Asheville/Boone to visit some microbreweries once this whole pandemic thing ends...probably not til late summer though.

Asheville has changed a lot, I have been living here for 17 years now and the transformation has been crazy. We also have a nice pinball museum and definitely a great variety of microbreweries. There is also a local ginger beer brewery that makes one with lime and agave that's super delicious. If you and your gal ever make it to Asheville let me know and maybe we could meet up for a drink or a pinball game lol
