I assume you`re still around Crosby beach way ?

If so, why don`t you try the little known nature reserve by the container base in Seaforth ?

I`m pretty sure you`d have to ask permission ( and it possibly could be locked too ) but if you could get in there, there`s normally some real rarities in there, particularly this time of year with ducks and waders.
 

These 5 photos are of the globbies on the stones and the at edge of the pondwater where the stones are submerged.


Also at the top of the post is some kind of larva, attached to the stone (under the surface).

My pond is the same. Full of unidentifiable 'globbies' and larvae. I just wish I could get to see them in as much detail as you do. ;)

Story: I went out to get the waterproof cover for the outside table on holiday, I picked it up and shook it, to flatten it out and this beauty fell onto my bare foot from the cover, still got ptsd from this, till this day! lol
