Yes, of course! she is with the kids this week in the Dolomites skiing, I'm off to Singapore tomorrow and Dubai Wednesday, then will meet the family in Italy on Friday before driving up to Austria.

Fantastico! - I'm fine thanks...been building my new kitchen all weekend, Work is progressing well. It should be complete by next Saturday, can't wait, I'm sick of microwave meals and pizza's.

I'm aiming for a trip up to Jockland at the end of this month, for a spot of walking/climbing in the Torridon's.

Good to hear about the kitchen, I remember staying in the YHA at Torridon in the late 90's - have a great time!

Thanks - Was the YHA the one by the Loch? if so I've stayed there myself many moons ago.

PS...If you have some time on your travels - then I can highly recommend "The Villain" - the life story of Don Whillans. I've just finished it, and it's a cracking read.

I should read that - I met him once with Joe Brown in the early 80's (I was a teenager then) in Capel Curig - he had one hell of a reputation.

Yes the hostel was just past the tourist office, near to the loch

Yup Don, had a unique view on life...if you couldn't climb it, fight it or drink it, then it was of no interest to him.

Funnily enough, I got chatting yesterday to one of my builders, who said that his Dad used to climb with Bonnington, Whillans, and Tasker. He used to be a member of the Ogwen mountain rescue team in the 70's and 80's - his name was Stan Donaghy, did you ever come across him? He's a scouser and a blue
