I think (@Joey66 might know) Fly Agaric have some sort of extended lineage to larger trees like Birch, Oak, Pine, Fir.
Back down to earth.. went a ramble to Machrie to see the standing stones, great walk but hardly Stonehenge ?
They only become illegal, if you “ prepare “ them in any way - dry them out, cut them up etc.
They massively increase in strength when dried out, as my old mate who ended up stuck in the tree found out lol

Just be very careful if you do, they are not for the faint hearted and will need to be prepared properly before you even think about going near them.

Once or twice a year for me and I've had very mellow and fun experiences, Although saying that if people do ingest a lot they tend to fall asleep and wake up completely tripping. Takes an element of trust !
