Few days in Anglesey and around North Wales last week between the Derby (Boo) and Arsenal (Ace).

Too lazy (as usual) to fly with my camera so both snapped in the phone. One late afternoon, one early morning.

Didn't expect to see a fly on the garden fence tonight, but there it was.

Not sure why it's head and antennae seems so "textured" - maybe it's the cold and damp that has had some affect...

A green shield bug (Palomena prasina) somehow made it's way into the hallway of our house today. It's already brown, ready for hibernation. Before placing it safely in a warm corner of the outhouse to find it's own place to enter the diapause phase, I took the opportunity to let it pose on a flower. Enjoy.

Indeed. We almost missed it because it blended so well with the leaf. The magic of nature!

Reckon the top pic is Cable Bay near Rhosneigr. Been on that beach in some very stormy weather. Unique and beautiful island is Anglesey. Lovely sunset over the Emerald island in the distance well captured.

Reckon the top pic is Cable Bay near Rhosneigr. Been on that beach in some very stormy weather. Unique and beautiful island is Anglesey. Lovely sunset over the Emerald island in the distance well captured.

Yeah, well spotted. It is cable bay (or Porth Trecastell) as the islanders call it.

My teenage years were in a house really close to that beach. I was fuming then leaving Liverpool but now I'm (much) older I really appreciate how lucky I was whenever I go back.
