Abersoch is bonkers these days, a work colleague’s dad had a caravan/lodge thing near the beach and when his 20 year lease ran out last year, he was told it would cost him £200k just to renew for 10 years, plus he’d have to pay to replace his old structure with a new one!

My old man bought a house there, when he retired over 25 years ago.
It’s value compared to what he paid for it, is just nuts.
I spent a lot of time there as a kid, but don’t like the place anymore, for the reasons you’ve mentioned and the fact that everything is just so expensive.
When I go now, I spend most of the time on Hells Mouth beach and around there.

I saw that group further down the beach so walked down and behind to compose the photo. It was 2017, staying at a beach house owned by my stepson's boss.

I took the 15mm lens out today to the nearby woodlands, sadly a lot of felling of trees has been done and a lot of the glory has been lost. Still, I took a few anyway!
