Only for about a week or so do you see the flowers of a Norway Maple.

I've always wondered : what's the vegetation called that hangs off some of those trees ?

Spanish moss, and it is one of the most enchanting sights one can witness around this area, especially when they hang from those large oak trees. It really looks magical.
