Boss photos you've taken

Couple of macro shots taken in the garden after the rain last night left the rain droplets on the leaves in the garden plants.

A cranefly trapped and a small fly facing a water droplet as big as the fly itself!

I'd gonna read that link you sent me now Pablo Aimar, out in the garden. I'll see if I can capture anything

Great stuff there. It's like Fly v Water. Who won?

Shot of the week for myself when I found this cannibalistic fly having lunch on the laurel bush leaf in the garden. Overall size was maybe ½inch so was a large crop for composition purposes. Taken on the 5D Mk2 with my 100mm macro and all three extension tubes, flash used.

Was surprised when I looked the viewfinder lining up this one, cos at first I thought it was 2 flies having some early rumpy-pumpy!

Been busy again with the camera today, here's the selection - first is a goldfinch at the top of the zoom, then cropped so you can see the bloody thing!

Then there is some fungi, and finally a "blackspotted pliers support beetle" to end with...
