The nightmare scenario for me is this.

Dyche is kept on and we are relegated.

Then Dyche is given a new contract as he is deemed to be the best man to bring us back up again,

😞
why would he be the best man to get us back up?
football has changed so much since he was in that division, the guy doesn't know how to win.

we got beat 3-0 by Coventry in pre season who have since sacked him

All Bournemouth’s 4 goals against us this season have basically been the same. Let’s beat their rubbish full backs, whip a good ball in, attack it and score. Unfortunately something we haven’t done for a long long time.
We fall at this first hurdle, let alone actually be attacking minded and score. Dyche's rigidity is laughable: doing the same inept things, with the same players.

"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results."

Let’s not revise too much re Andre Gomes who did little by way of meaningful output once signed permanently. He was slow, didn’t score, got a handful of assists and was a walking liability whether that being dispossessed in dangerous areas or picking up needless yellow cards. The fact that we’re also now dependent on Dwight McNeill as a talisman says a lot of just how low we’ve fallen.

Don’t get me wrong, I know where you’re coming from but we’re miles off.
I agree with you on Gomes - he was dire before the leg break and a lot of people forgot this.

I think we have regressed from last season. We definitely pressed more aggressively and smarter as a team and played higher up the pitch. We seem to be just playing a low block now and hoping to break with only Ndiaye who’s capable of this. We need Tim, Garner and McNeil back as soon as and we require a much more progressive left back as a bare minimum. I do think Dyches heart isn’t in it he’s burning bridges with the fanbase deflecting any shortcomings rather than facing them head on, and that’s enough reason to make the change now. Regardless of the result look at the difference in our performance against Bournemouth at home compared to yesterday. Dyche should be questioned on how a team on his watch performance can drop so starkly.

It's not that they've gotten used to 'losing', more that they're used to 'not winning'.

It's why so often us conceding first and early tends to set us up to ship a few more, because more often than not, no one can see a way back into the game.

Also some variety with dead balls, I don't mean the current failure of excessively down graded quality, I mean every man and his dog know the ball is being aimed at Tarkowski, let's try something a bit different, hit someone else, try a training ground move maybe, Also, let's stop this eureka football of getting a corner or freekick and getting the ball back to Pickford as quickly as possible. When this happens we look like a team of rubes!

Well fellas I did accurately predict what would happen at my attendance at this game…another shocker!!

The performance was calamitous and, but for Pickford, it could have been an embarrassing scoreline.

I think some players have given up and others not good enough…Gana and Doucoure were very poor and wtf happened to Mangala? He looked like he had spent Xmas at a permanent eat all you can buffet.

DCL was his usual half-hearted self and Patterson was a liability at full back…not sure why he did not keep Young at RB and play Patterson in front of him.

If we are setting up to keep it tight and pinch one from a set piece then one would think that this is an area we would show some creativity but not for us. The epitome of this was a free kick in a good position in the second half which was wasted with another aimless cross to no one in particular.

I’ll let you all know when my next game is so you can make alternative arrangements for that weekend.

PS. I’m hoping to go to Palace,Brighton and Brentford away…you have been warned!
