Bournemouth's recent bad run is due in part to their shocking injury list. And now Defoe has broken his ankle.

Doubtful Arter (calf), Daniels (groin), Fedrici (knee) Injured Stanislas (hamstring), Surman (shoulder, both Jan), Defoe (ankle, Mar), Mings (back), B Smith (hip), Wiggins (knee, all unknown)

Their reduced squad will make the Christmas and New Year programme all the more demanding.

Will Sam see this as our best chance of success - or will he hold players back for the Manchester United and Liverpool games?

Their defence is so bad that even we might be able to take advantage of it. Hoping for a positive performance. If it's three at the back again then our full backs have got to offer a lot more going forward than they did at West Brom or it could be another painful afternoon.

343 formation. Win 5-2

Pickford
Holgate Williams Jagielka
Lennon Schneiderlin Mccarthy Martina
Rooney Niasse Sigurdsson

Why is this a must win?

I dont think you people realise how hard it is to go to an away ground in this league and get all 3 points, we just almost went a year without an away win but suddenly we demand away wins willy and indeed nilly.

Oh thats right, they are in the bottom 3, a place we sat not that long ago.

To climb the damned table, not safe yet and much easier to turn over the bottom clubs then our next 2 opponents. I get it you want to see us slide down again. As in the last game and this we do have the players that can win just need to use them better.
