One of the maddest things ever. Imagine throwing the towel out. What did he think it was doing in there.
It happens. Part of the rules, referee doesn't have to accept it.
Probably shouldn't be part of the rules.

Genuinely didn't know that and have never seen anything like that. The lad was getting badly hurt to the body.
It happened in one of Naseem Hameds early fights, think in one of Tysons too.
The idea is to stop corrupt fights, corners deliberately stopping a fight in a predetermined round etc.
Makes sense now you said that. Must be hard for a ref to make that call at times.
Yeah that makes sense, had never thought of that. Although I do think he should have still stopped it earlier.
