Boxing

After a few months of not watching anything Boxing related, finally caught up on a lot of fights and fight cards. Been great watching boxing again and getting back on track with things.

I think Woodley thought Jake was going for the body shot by the looks of it. Anyway, Jake is doing what Jake does best and he’s making money. As much as people like to say Jake is this and Jake is that, the kid has power and can box at a low level, which is enough to beat MMA fighters. All this he’s YouTuber is just nonsense. He’s been training for years now, and trains with some of the best trainers in the world. He’s also hardworking and athletic anyway. Crap to see Woodley go out like that, but I expected it. I honestly think Jake beats Tommy Fury too.

From what I seen of the fight, he had an alright jab and decent footwork. The problem is, once he steps in with an actual boxer it will be game over for him and he knows it. He’s great at calling out MMA fighters cos he knows there boxing ability is to a very low standard. MMA boxing style and hands are below amateur level, although they stand up a lot, they just ain’t very good and he knows it. Good luck to the lad, he certainly knows how to promote himself and bring attention to himself.

The WWE-business model is taking over. It's not the sport that counts, it's what the consumer wants.
They prefer this to GGG Vs Murata.

To be fair, unless your a hardcore boxing fan, hardly anyone knows about that fight. Hasn’t it been cancelled a couple of times too?

Apart from Canelo, Joshua and Fury, there isn’t that many boxing superstars that gain the attention of the public.

Boxers have such an advantage now to be better self promoters with social media but none seem to use that platform to there advantage. A lot of these boxers now don’t need a traditional promoter now, should be able to promote themselves and run the shows themselves. You get rid of these promoters with there network deals and the amount of fights than can be made would be so much easier.

Apart from Fury vs Joshua, the biggest fight to be made is Crawford vs Spence, but sadly not enough money in the fight, for it to be made. Not enough attention on it to be made from the public due to both not been promoted better, especially Crawford.

You can't deny that Jake Paul generates an audience. I don't know whether he'll even give Tommy Fury the fight. Tommy seems more interested in being a celebrity and his last pull out was a bit odd.

Anyway Jake will KO Tommy. I think McGregor is a likely fight at some point too.

Dillian Whyte must be the unluckiest boxer ever.

How long has he been the mandatory challenger for a title in the HW division.

Been waiting patiently for his shot for 3 years and the fights never materialise.

I hope Eddie has been getting him some decent sized wedges of step aside money.

He’s turned down 2 titles shots and is now struggling to agree a purse split with Fury. Not as unlucky as some may think.

Middle East want to be the sports Mecca (no pun) of the World, they have 4 F1 tracks there, they are outbidding Vegas for Heavyweight fights.

Sportswashing is the best way to distract from constant human rights abuses and war crimes (Yemen).

Easy money for AJ, i fancy Usyk to win, his ring IQ is amazing and he will adjust for the height disadvantage (like RJJ did against Ruiz) and i don't think Fury has much left in the tank motivation wise.
