Boxing

I feel sorry for Anthony Joshua because you can clearly see and seen it after the fight last night. That the man has been carrying an awful lot of pressure and he’s finally just broken. Sky should of cut the feed off, somebody should of grabbed the mic off him and got him into the locker room straight away.

That man has carried British boxing for the last 10 years on his shoulders, if it wasn’t for the rise of Joshua, the heavyweight division wouldn’t be in the era it’s in now. Fury would be struggling to sell out the MEN arena and not getting the paydays he’s getting now. The man has given a freshness to the sport, brought more eyes to the sport, cause fighters to gain more popularity and get paid.

People on social media and on here saying he’s terrible, over rated and so on need to give there head a wobble. He’s lost to an all time great. He’s lost to arguable the greatest cruiserweight of all time. A world amateur champion, Olympic champion, an undisputed cruiserweight champion, a fight with no losses and a p4p. There is no shame in losing to Usyk.

If Wilder hasn't been mentally scarred by the Fury bouts he still is the second best in the division. Sure Usyk would beat him on points but that is only if he doesn't get caught and on last night's performance I would highly doubt that would be the case. Wilder would be able to take bigger punches and his bombs are more disguised and quicker than AJ's.
Joshua is a much better all round boxer than Wilder though. Wilder is very limited and literally got a good one two combination. Wilder can carry his punches better than Joshua though against smaller fights. Usyk gives him nightmares more so than Fury. He hasn’t got a bigger target to hit like Fury than he does with Usyk.

Usyk vs Wilder would be like watching Manny Pacquiao vs Oscar De La Hoya or Calzaghe vs Lacy. Would be an embarrsement.

Andy Ruiz Jnr v Ortiz was last night
Fight went the distance despite Ruiz putting Ortiz down 3 times. Ruiz won on points but fight was much closer than it sounds because Ruiz let Ortiz win many rounds cheaply. The knockdowns pretty much won Ruiz the fight. Looks like we could see Wilder v Ruiz jnr soon.

Ortiz gave Wilder a tough fight too.

Would be a very interesting fight, Ruiz Wilder. Not sure I could call it.

Doubt it will happen between Fury and Joshua. Seems like Fury is already back tracking from the 17th December saying he wants it on either 26th November or 3rd December. Hasn’t Warren got the millennium stadium booked for 17th December? Be interesting few weeks.

saw a Mike Tyson podcast the other day and it looks like he`s developing Parkinsons Disease - sad as he`s really turned everything round from being a mad scally as a kid and taking that into professional boxing to the philosophical type of way he`s looking at things recently. still- he`s the real-deal and has lived life more than most.
