Boxing

My god, this pantomime boxing nonsense is cringeworthy.

The only entertainment about it is if Tyson doesn’t play ball and goes full on Tyson crazy, and Paul ends up like the bloke off Friends who thought he was gonna be a world champ 🤞🏻

'Because I'm about to therve up Jake mine meat for thupper!'

What a night, or very early morning that was, jibbed in The Empire to watch it, and from the start was anxious for Ali’s well being, he was getting his shots in but taking plenty back especially when he rested on the ropes round after round. Then he started rallying at the thirty or so seconds of each round, I was thinking he’s got a chance here, then into the eighth round and after drawing George into him Ali was up,and ready getting George with a flurry of punches and Foreman didn’t know where he was and I was up and out of my seat screaming “ He’s xxxxxxx got him along with a few more and when George failed the count there was bedlam in the Empire and no artist who performed there ever got the kind of applause and rapture that Ali received that night/ early morning, pure joy from us boxing fans, pity he never heard it although he would have heard the audience at the actual fight and felt the happiness all round the world as the title belt went back to the man who had been denied it for political reasons.

Didn’t know this was sanctioned in Texas, explains a lot. Any boxing fan knows that Texas is a bad state for boxing and especially dodgy stuff going on there.

This Indian fella has clearly been told to take it easy here. That’s enough for me, won’t be able to watch anymore of this after seeing this.

Roy Jones Jr. is my childhood hero and greatest boxer I’ve seen but hearing him commentate on this is sad.
