Boxing

Thought De Gales tribute to Darren Sutherland after he won was top class too, fair dues, I reckon Darren would have went on to being one of our best ever pro's to be honest.

Just been watching Roman Gonzalez' fight on the Golovkin undercard, wow, what a fighter, operates at 112lbs and the lower weights don't often get the coverage they warrant.

Comes from Nicaragua, 43-0,37ko, talks of him fighting the Japanese fighter Inoue, another great fighter which would be one of, if not the best fight in boxing right now.
with a name like roman he has to be good

Boxing like most things is all about opinions but I think Khan and his glass jaw is one of the biggest urban legends in the sport.

Khan has taken hits in fights I've seen him win and When the lad has been knocked out , which is only twice , it's not been from a single blow . Both of his stoppages have been, if it makes sense although different , remarkably similar . Khan takes a hit which rocks him, which is no indication of a glass jaw in my opinion and instead of backing off and gathering his thoughts or grabbing his opponent in a clinch he powers forward throwing digs and trying to trade and seeking to out 'macho' the other fella . In both situations he's been caught again, usually with combinations and ended up being stopped . For me that's not the definition of a glass jaw , a glass jaw is when someone gets caught flush and out they go. Diego corrales was a top fighter but there was a guy with a real suspect chin in my opinion .

Again it's only my opinion but Khan has/had more of an issue mentally with temperament than with a glass jaw .

It can also happen when a fighter cuts to much weight to make weight. The body doesnt rehydrate including fluid around the brain, which makes brain shake ten time worse.

Yeah obviously it can happen for a host of reasons , don't get me wrong I'm not saying Khan is a Chuvalo or a Kid Gavilan but I just think glass jaw is far from the mark.

Find it hard to see sky making too much on tomorrow nights ppv event, decent bill just doesn't have that stand out fight to justify ppv status imo.
