Boxing

[QUOTE="tommye, post: 3992543, member: 7499"always seems to be that little bit short. As tough as teak though. Would defo have him on my side in a barney.
Deffo hard case, think he will kick himself In the morning ,just a bit more in the middle of the fight could have got that.[/QUOTE]

It looks like he will never get his hands on a world title, which is a shame because he is a sound lad.

aye. Tough as teak, never ducked an opponent and a heart as big as a lion. Shame if he never gets a title belt.

Hadn't really played it clever. Took very tough fights all over the world even if he weren't quite ready for them.

IMO his trainer should have known it'd be a massive risk putting him in With Abraham after a few poor tune ups at a new weight. That decision has left him in no mans land.

his refusal to say no to a fight is a massive burden for sure. He's proven to have the talent, who else goes 11 with GGG, but the head to work his way to a title is lacking. Tis a shame.

He has took any fight possible for that reason .

I didn't know that tbh. Makes a bit of sense.

Just got round to watching the big one the weekend, had Canelo by 4, but to give Cotton one round is extremely harsh.

The size difference was huge, looked like fighters from different divisions, I had Cotto well in it til the halfway mark. If Canelo fights GGG anywhere north of 155 I don't give him a chance, he's best hope is to get GGG down in weight as much as possible in the hope it takes its toll. He carried a huge weight advantage against Cotto yet never seemed to hurt him and he'll struggle to keep GGG off him, late stoppage for me.

Still can't see De La Hoya being in a huge rush to get his golden ticket in the ring with GGG, I'd be pleasantly surprised if it happens in 2016.

I thought Cotton gave a great account of himself and has had a brilliant career and its hard to pick a fight for him, maybe one more at 154, he could decide nows the time to hang em up, $15m, not a bad nights earnings to bow out on.
