Boxing

I thought the 1st one was really close and Eubank would of won it if he actually tried in the 1st 5 rounds. The commentators acting like they was in WWE treating BJS as the good guy and Eubank as the heel fooled alot of people for me.

Might upset a few on here with him being a local lad but that Liam Smith comes across as an awful whopper, can't stand him, got tagged fair bit too last night, looking forward to him getting beat.

He is actually the more sound one out of the smiths by all accounts. I know a few people who know them all and he defo the most liked out of them

Eubank was completely outclassed in the first half of the fight, he only started getting any joy when Saunders tired. Eubank did try but couldn't lay a glove on him. Technically Saunders is levels above.

Who is helenius?dont think i have heard of him.
Finnish Heavyweight. I Was at Helsinki last saturday to see his match. Won EBU title against Franz Rill. Teper was his original opponent but he pulled out cause of injury but today we learned he had given positive doping sample few months ago. Sauerland screwed all again. But anyways. Nordic Nightmare (Helenius' nickname) has now record of 22-0-0 (13ko) and he has one aim. To fight in world champion tittle match.

Cheers lad.never seen him fight.are you a big fan ya?

He isnt there yet. And Joshua would most likely win him but he will have one more push in his career.

Well naturally proud of him, our only potential boxer atm. He's 32 so this will be his last push like I said. He wasted years in Sauerland camp and now they are battling in court. Few years ago Helenius fought Chisora and controversially won it. I thought Chisora won that.

Helenius is quite interesting atm...he has changed his whole camp and is looking like effing Viking :D very sellable and I would absolutely love to see him against Joshua.

If he would fight Joshua in Britain I would defo try to get there!

Hearn: Joshua could face Helenius-Rill winner for EBU title

British/Commonwealth heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (15-0, 15 KOs) was thought to be targeting former world title challenger Dereck Chisora next on April 9th at the O2 Arena in London, UK. But now Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn is saying that Joshua could go after the EBU heavyweight title by facing the winner of this Saturday’s fight between Robert Helenius (21-0, 13 KOs) and Franz Rill (11-0, 7 KOs).

Helenius-Rill fight will be for the vacant EBU title at the Hartwall Arena in Helsinki, Finland. It was originally supposed to be a fight between Erkan Teper and Helenius, but Teper suffered an injury and had to pull out of the fight.

The 31-year-old Helenius is now considered to be the favorite to win this fight and move forward to bigger and better things. That could be a fight against the 6’6” Joshua if Hearn can make it worthwhile for Helenius to the fight.

The 6’6” Helenius is a big puncher, and he could be a real problem for Joshua if he lands his big shots. I could see Joshua getting flattened by Helenius if he gets nailed with a clean shot.
