Since I got in to Breaking Bad quite late, I had the luxury of having 4 whole seasons to get through at the pace I wanted. I'm really going to miss that now. Plus I've heard that this season is going to be split in to two with a break in the middle. 16 episodes though so at least there's a bit more than in the previous seasons.

8 now, 8 next year. Apparently AMC only wanted to give them 8, but the producers chucked the toys and shopped around. So AMC gave them two seasons of 8 (AMC keep cutting the budget on the show).

Also, why do a lot of people hate Skylar? Comments on facebook and twitter, about 90% of them are negative. I actually quite like the character and she's grown on me the last 3 seasons.

She's vindictive. My favourite line ever in the whole show is when Walt is on the phone to her in his knickers and he grabs his wanger and screams "RESTRAIN THIS!"

But yer, she's understandably vindictive. Walt has done too much ****e to just be shrugged off.

Skylar is annoying as f***, she's a totally inconsistent and badly written character. Not really the actress playing her at fault, i hope to God she is killed off or written out soon.

But she was a manipulative [Poor language removed] even before she knew he was into drugs. She only married him because she thought he was weak and easily controllable!

I think her writing has been really poor this season. The last scene with her in the recent episode felt very wooden and over-scripted.

They separated before she knew. She didn't like the fact that he suddenly became very mysterious even though her husband had cancer. It was always in her nature as a character to want to manipulate people.

Because he's got 2 mobiles, being secretive, swanning off to the desert for weekends and she phones up his ma and she says he hasn't been to hers, finds out about Gretchen not paying the cancer treatment bills, so suddenly has an influx in money from somewhere. So all of that before the drugs are pretty good reasons to be miffed.
