This is from 1862, goat. It hasn't changed all that much since then regarding Old Glory. Imagine somebody getting nasty with the Queen. We don't have a Queen - we have a flag. The constitution guarantees our right to burn it as an expression of free speech - and the right of others to express how they feel about the act. I wouldn't do it at a VFW convention. Just passing on the history - thought you'd like to know. Burning is how worn American flags are properly disposed of - kind of like incinerating a dead person. They are not thrown away or abused.
