I've just found out that the Gregorian calendar was introduced by Pope Gregory XIII on 4 October 1582, hence the Gregorian calendar. Before that, people were using the Julian calendar.

Just been told that I'm due a tax refund.

However, by my calculations it's £70 short. As I spent a significant chunk of last year out of the country, I should not have had to pay any income tax. The bastards have also charged me £200 extra on national insurance.
