So is he playing at centre back there or full back? Oviedo already there so left back slot taken for a month until he gets injured. Hope he does well there and has a good season and gains loads of experience. Could field nearly a full team of our lot if the Browning and McGeady deals go through.

Browning and possibly McGeady going there too, should settle in with the vast number of familiar faces (Pienaar, Oviedo from us and maybe the likes of Watmore with England Youth).

Has the potential to be a good squad player, hope he gets a good run of form there.

Pienaar's contract was up and he's now signed for a S African team.
15 months ago when Browning played alongside Holgate at centre back for the U23s he looked the better player. It's a shame what happened last season but a great chance for him to play week in week out hopefully at left sided centre back , then we'll have a decent evaluation of his true potential .

My bad didn't know that about Pienaar.

Browning has buckets of potential, just not had the best of luck over the last couple years.

Baines isn't. Galloway I would say played the better of any of the LBs we used a couple of seasons back.

I think Baines does needed replacing but not with Galloway,I don't think he is anywhere near good enough same with Browning.

My mistake , I typed Browning but meant Galloway looked a better player than Holgate, other bits then make sense re his experience with Pulis/WBA and Galloway's ability as a left sided centre back. Watching Tour de France and not concentrating, and was just trying to correct Pienaar 's position re the earlier post. !
