find it so so odd that koeman didn't have a look at him in training first in pre-season before deciding on this. My hope is that he knows he has a big part to play in the future and he just wants him to go out and get game time. He impressed me more than holgate, i must say. I find it odd that we let him go before we've even tried to get in a backup left back as well. Could all go pear shaped and we don't get anyone.

true, but how old is he now? 23/24? he can't even get in championship clubs teams and there are rumours he's on his way out. He's an odd one, has a lot of talent and maybe if he was given a go he'd take it. Ever since harry kane, i've been thinking players like him or dowell could thrive the higher the level they're playing at.

...I assume Galloway isn't in RKs plans. I was surprised he went on loan last season given Baines' injury record but the fact he's gone out again suggests to me that the Manager is simply not keen on him.

He seems to be stuck between positions a bit like Holgate. Not quite a full back but lacking the stature to be a CB. Probably best suited to playing left CB in a 3 at the back.
