Don't want to slag Browning off as I think he'll go on to be a very capable centre half, but Galloway is in a different class atm. Not as a slant against Browning, but this lad really is something else. His composure on the ball is second-only to Stones (in defence) IMO. His defensive nous and positioning, for a 19-year-old, is superb as well - his tackle on Berahino saved us. Of course there will be mistakes, and I'm not saying he should keep Baines out of the side when he is fit, but he's proving himself and is getting better with each game.

I am. If he keeps this up, it would be criminal to drop him when Baines gets fit.

Baines will be in mate, and rightly so IMO. He's our first-choice left back and still one of the best in the league - he came under a lot of undue flack last season when he was given no help from Barry/the winger in front of him. Galloway has proved he is more than able though, and means that, barring injuries/suspensions, we don't have to rush Baines back.

I read a report from someone saying chelsea should of gone for this lad instead of stones as a big bid we would of accepted . what you think his value is right now ? he's taller than jags i think so could be his replacement at centre half in a few years !

This lad is literally like a clone of Stones.
Hmm, not sure about that . Stones is going to be exceptionally outstanding, Brendan at the moment is only going to be outstanding. Still , at 19 he's got until 21 to become exceptionally outstanding. What a great joy it would be to see them both playing central defence together in a run of games one day.

I couldn't disagree more - anyone in the form that he is should not be dropped, and having to deal with the knowledge that Baines is available and fighting for his place is going to provide far more development in terms of his character (and would be more likely to result in him and Baines playing better, to say nothing of the impact on other youth players) than just picking Baines and jibbing the lad off to the bench. We all saw what happened to Robles last season when Howard was brought back, and his performances were nowhere near as good as what Galloway is putting in every week.

I don't think about that sort of thing. I'm the sort of fan who tries to enjoy the good moments our footballers have.

While I partly agree, I can't see Baines not getting back in. But if he isn't performing, then Galloway should be in in his place. With our injury luck, Galloway may well be moved into a centre-half position soon enough anyway (given that is his preferred position).

But remember last year, people were calling for Garbutt to start instead of Baines. For me, Baines is our first-choice full-back. He wasn't dropped due to poor form, he was injured. Joel should have stayed in as Howard, even though he was injured, had been terrible pre-injury.

nothing against browning that mate. some players are better than others. i like browning, he's done perfectly ammicable for us - i think he has a future here, but galloway is the real deal imo. he's been better at filling in at full back than what stones did so by the virtue of football ... he'll be a worse centre back haha

he bleeds confidence.

Going to go out on a limb here. I think this lad is going to be a player.

In the first half or second half mate?

Make sure you have both bases covered
