Ah no bud! I wasn't being critical of your post in the slightest just adding that AFTER he made that boss tackle he was the furthest player forward within 10-15 seconds. I was incredibly impressed with his work rate was all I meant! He's absolutely class!

This. But I am so pleased to have my doubts about him shut right down. He has grown so much as a player. Bobby really lets these young lads play, make mistakes, and play again. That said: Baines walks right back in to that squad. He is sheer class and he brings that continuity with the past: honestly think that part of the magic here is respecting all the "generations" of this squad: bringing the younger players in, but also recognizing that there are loyal veterans here (who had the option to bail) that are integral to this project. Feel so great about his teat atm. Can't wait until we lose on Sunday and I can get back down to earth.

Imo it means we don't have to rush Baines back so we can bench Baines and bring him back slowly and rotate and use different players for different games.

Great problems for the manager to have when there's quality not just in the first 11 but in a squad of 16-18
