A high percentage of attacking players, not just strikers bury at least 1.... his head went after the 1st and he never got it back.
To me. His head never went, as he would have gone hiding otherwise. At least he was getting/making the chances. which we have not had till Moyes came in really. His final chance is a brilliant save for me, and to me their keeper was MOTM

He really needs to ease up on the reckless shoot on sight efforts though.
Honestly we need more of this. Other teams score from outside the box on a not uncommon basis. It seems we never do.

But i hear your point, he shouldn't do it too much. But if he sees an opening and has time to get power, I don't mind the strike from distance unless there are clear better options.

I think if he hadn't taken that one a minute before, instead of passing to Harrison out wide he'd have taken that shot a minute later, which would have been a better angle and the right call

He barely had a sniff 2nd half and if you watch that passage of play for that last chance he's so alert. He does a little flick around the defender to Alacaraz and he's then on his toes immediately. Great ball by Alcaraz so he can really stride out, rides 1 tackle, sets himself and it's a good save. I said this morning I felt he telegraphed where it was going a little bit, but on another day the keeper goes low and it lifts above him.

I thought it was excellent forward play though considering he'd done a lot of huffing and puffing 2nd half without really being involved in much.

One thing I noticed with the game was the players being much more fluid in their positioning. Made me a bit nervous (probably Dyche-based infection hangover), but also liked the trust that players could move about a bit more, rather than rigidly staying in their netball-like positions. That saying, not sure about that Mykolenko and O'Brien switch early in the second half though!

That full back switch was a bit strange but I had the feeling that it was just how they ended up after a corner and the ball took a long time to go out of play long enough for them to switch back. You could see Tarkowski shouting at O'Brien to sprint back into the right back position as that was where the ball had gone out.

They persisted for a bit though, it was a solid few minutes of play when they did it.
