Absolutely. City do this in practically every game and it is seen as professional and good, Rodrigo is a master at doing it and then getting away with a yellow. We do it for once and folk say it is a stupid challenge. Much rather a free kick and yellow in their half than a goal against.

Glad that means I have half a brain, because supporting Everton has me wondering at times!
Gareth Barry was the master at it, the reason he is the most booked player of all time.

Lucky it's only 3 :nono: lol
0-3 at half-time flatters us. lol

Embarassing.

Players and manager totally outclassed today. lol

A Maupay goal to wrap up a great day?! [not much chance of that happening}

Embarrassing all round. Now need great results against the top 3 and villa instead of a couple draws. If our best players were tired and had to come off after 45/60/75 mins, resulting in a battering we’d be disappointed. But that first half was scandalous.

Well done Everton and Dyche. Done us again. lol

Knowing the timings of the goals just adds to the pleasure of the read……
opposition fans have such a short memory. I'd like to think we as a fan base are pretty respectful. All I ever see is blues complimenting teams like Brighton and Brentford for the way they are run, the style of football they play but Brighton's fans here are so disrespectful towards a team - granted fighting for it's life - but a team that's historically one of the biggest in the league - they would love to have our history. Most of them were writing us off before the game saying it's "only Everton" like the win was a formality for them. I would love us to be run like Brighton but yesterday was a reality check for a fanbase that maybe began to believe their own hype.

Superb performance . How do you improve on near perfection? Can these players do this at least in 2 more matches this season? Will Mr. Dyche realise that these 11 players actually work. The team looked for once , balanced .
Mr. Dyche , No tinkering. No Keane. And no Onana ( although I still believe that he will be great for us , but just as a sub , for the rest of this season ).
Please god , keep Mina and DCL fit for the next few weeks.
So no brain farts from our manager , and no lapsing back to those old bad habits from our players. No more nonsense . Just see out this season , and stay in this premier league. Up the Toffees . Our staying up Toffees.
Ps. And I know that I say this every end of season , but let’s not let this nonsense happen again. Build for next season. As seen last night , there is a team in there , somewhere. Mr. Dyche , keep the dross away from the first 11. Bring in a few strikers . Bring Branthwaite back. Keep Patterson in the team. Also keep Garner in the midfield. And let’s rock and roll for next season. No matter what league we are playing in.
Funny how one great result , can make a difference. Now the trick is to keep this momentum going , no falling into bad habits . We have shown that we can actually play decent football.
No more “Everton that” nonsense. Thank you. Up the Toffees.
Last comment. And let’s hope that the reported , rumoured changes at board level are true.
Decent football last night ,and confidence now high , for the next few matches, and hopefully a decent boardroom to follow in the summer. What’s not to like. Things are looking a lot better., Have a good day folks.

Considering the season they have had I thought they were terrible getting off so early, and really showed themselves up as the small time club fans they are. No wonder mac allister wants off.

Before a ball was kicked they were giving it the “it’s only Everton” and we’re confident of battering us - if you thought that then stay as you may have got back into it.

Well run club, small time fans.

Maybe the wrong thread to ask this , but what score do we want tonight , in the Real Madrid v Man City match. Maybe a 2-1 win for Madrid. If that happens , then we face a Man City reserve team on Sunday ( although their reserves can be fairly decent). Or do we want to face , a hopefully full , but knackered Man City first 11. Take every advantage we can get , hopefully.
Just a thought , on what sort of a Man City team we will face. But I suppose that the trick will be , just play like we did last night. That should get us something. Can’t wait now for Sunday. So , Mr. Dyche , just keep this feel good factor going , for the next few weeks. Survival is now in our own hands , It always has been. Up the Toffees.
Just a pity that we didn’t make that manager change , during the World Cup. We just might have managed a few more points. Oh well , Isn’t hindsight wonderful?

anything but a city win i reckon

I just want to confess that I did not expect that exceptional and complete display from Everton yesterday , instead assumed they were going to get walloped, one of the very few times in my life I'm ecstatic about being so wrong in my prognostication. Hopefully it wasn't just a one time anomaly and we can use that performance as momentum to acquire the necessary points to survive. Also glad dysche had an epiphany and utilized Mina, as his presence was vital for our defense
