Although I could have given MOM to almost all of them I settled for Pickford in the end because when we were ahead he kept us in the game at that stage. COYB.
As good as Pickford was, there's no way you can't give MOTM to an outfield player in an away game that you've scored 5 goals in IMO lol

What parallel universe is this?

Easy to say now that I saw us getting a result (thought we showed glimpses against admittedly a v.poor Leicester side) but 5-1 is staggering.

Some points:
- Pickford; so many times he digs us out in crucial moments in games with great reflex stops when we are under pressure. Giving him the captaincy is as mad an idea as him
- Never play Michael Keane again please
- Mykolenko has been so important for us this season, goes under the radar but is very good defensively
- Loving the balance of the Garner-Gana pivot. As much as I think the inclusion of Onana makes us an objectively better outfit, I'm so glad to see Garner get a run in the side. One for next year but great that we finally have some competition in the middle of the park
- Doucoure has been immense since Dyche came in, what an engine and got to say that the decision to play him as a second striker so that he can do Dom's dirty work with energetic pressing at the top of the pitch is a masterstroke from Sean. Really shines a light on the shortcomings of Lampard both tactically and pastorally as a manager
- Both wingers so important for us defensively, and if Iwobi possessed half the quality of McNeill technically on the ball we'd be twice the threat going forward.
- Dom. I love watching us with him in the side as we are so much more of a threat. If Dyche can solve his fitness issues then we will be fine next year - he is genuinely the difference between us being a top half team or scrapping at the foot of the table. Not just in himself and the threat he posseses but by occupying both centre halves both as a target man and by running the channels, he also makes our other attacking trio twice as effective

MOM could have been anyone, all of them performed at 8s. But McNeill has been a revelation in the last few games. His tactical positioning and aggression on the ball matched by his drive to carry the ball and his quality of delivery from wide areas. I don't think it is any surprise that his performances have jumped up a gear since Dom has come in. The threat that Dom provides in the box and in behind gives him that extra space, the extra option, but he's shown that he has the quality to use it properly, something that Dyche alluded to in his post match interview

City are getting it on Sunday

Brighton fans trooping out in their thousands with 15 mins to go - after the great season they've had. Not long ago they were a non-entity

Gana got booked for a cynical yellow on Mitoma to prevent a dangerous breakaway and he was said it was a "stupid challenge".

Anyone with half a brain would have recognised that it was a good foul to make.
Absolutely. City do this in practically every game and it is seen as professional and good, Rodrigo is a master at doing it and then getting away with a yellow. We do it for once and folk say it is a stupid challenge. Much rather a free kick and yellow in their half than a goal against.

Glad that means I have half a brain, because supporting Everton has me wondering at times!
