Those two examples are indisputable but then we’ve had let-offs this year, too. I’m a firm believer that these things even out (despite blue-tinted conspiracy theories on here...) over a season, and that the final league position is a pretty reliable indication of how we’ve played, not any massive, cumulative injustice.

For us maybe, yeah, but I mean take the RS for example, over half of their points if not more have come from lucky decisions from the ref. Doesn't matter if they've been the better team in the game, we've been the better team in almost every game too but haven't deserved to win them because we haven't scored the goals. But you can't say their luck is the same as the teams down the bottom. We're that team in the middle though who get some and don't get some evenly split, as soon as we start becoming a permanent fixture at the top, that's when we won't be moaning about the amount of decisions we get in our favour. We need to get there first though.

That was the kind of conspiracy I was going on about...

I think it is a massive exaggeration to suggest that “over half of their points” come from spawny decisions. It hurts to say it, but their points have pretty much all come from them playing excellent football and being clinical when they get chances.
