I am in no doubt that referees are influenced by the stature of the the six clubs. I don't think they deliberately give decisions in their favour but I believe they hesitate to give decisions against them.

We used to say that when it was a top 3, then top 4, but another 3 teams have broken into the big boys pen since then(top 3) every team has crap decisions, we focus a lot on the RS and they're loved by the media so of course it annoys the hell out of us how things always seem to fall into place for them.

Or the odd rash challenge our players have made in our area not resulting in pens.

We as a fanbase need to get out of this line of thinking, it winds me up, over the season we get the same amount of breaks as every other team in the league, we are just more aware of Evertons cos we watch every single game.

Over a 38 game season, where you end up is where you deserve to be.

Nothing is given in football, you take it all or you take nothing.
I tend to agree with you mate in that I think referees are just trying to do a job and mistakes happen. It's life.
I also hate the idea of all the modern technology coming into the game as I think it may take the excitement and tension of a match away

I think VAR will be superb for the game, once all the kinks are ironed out.

But take the game versus Burnley, our peno, yes he touched it with his hand, but thats only cos he was slightly pushed while challenging for the ball, bit of a soft peno for me, but nobody screams conspiracy about that.

I take the point there mate, but VAR could/would have given us a pen at the same time with Keane having his shirt pulled off his shoulder anyrate.

Would probably have stayed as a pen for the shirt pulling on Keane tho.

Although VAR should stop most of the WWE at set plays tbf.

I'm reasonably confident for this game, but my biggest concerns are when we meet one of the top teams again, I'm so fed up with us just rolling over for them time and time again. Lately it's got a lot worse in Moyes days I was at least confident we had an out side chance of a win and a good chance of a draw, but even when we lost I didn't feel to downbeat, but nowadays most of our results against the big boys are awful. The other day It wasn't so much Spurs being good it was us being very bad.

We didn't roll over in the derby, unlucky at Man U and Arsenal, we have come from a goal down to win games and shown a bit of spirit, in fact that derby was one of the best for a few years until the curse of butterfingers struck.
We are playing much better under Brands and Silva and since the arrival of the new signings have shown a lot more fight than last season, and hopefully we wont be rolling over for anyone anymore.

Lets hope after scoring our 7000th goal v Burnley [us reaching that target 1st],that we can win our 4500th top flight game at Brighton, another 1st by Everton
win tomorrow and it will be 1st time we have won 2 away games in a row since we beat west brom and Sunderland [that Lukaku hattrick] in 2016
