Really can’t see us winning this. Not enough guile in the middle of the park and DCL isn’t consistent enough. Add in the probable presence of Michael Keane, Brighton’s excellent set pieces and we’re set for a torrid afternoon.

When you see the massive apparent upgrade in fitness and effort from the second half of last season, it really makes clear how much Carlo was phoning it in as our manager.

Ask Bayern how fit they were under the pensioner!

Looked at our fixtures to the start of the season and even though there are no easy games in the prem etc they were very favourable for us, still wasn’t convinced we would take advantage of those games though, 7 pts from 9 can’t argue with that start.

Very solid performance, that!

Brighton were poor, but as they say, you can only play what's in front of you.
Restricted them to half chances and speculative efforts and never really looked like conceding.

Would have liked for us to test their keeper a bit more though.

Gray superb again, Doucoure was all over the pitch, but Allan MOTM for me.

On the flip side, really like that Bissouma lad for them.

He would have to make up with richarlison if we signed him. Them 2 were at it with each other all game.

I agree Allan probably was MOM but I've given it to Keane who also had a very good game. He deserves it after the stick he's had for the last 2 games. Could easily have thrown the towel in but stood up to the plate. Chuffed for him. Holgate too. Half the fans on here would have had him sold.
