Never will mate, we celebrated 50 years of marriage last year…we’ve had a good life and now just have a different one in front of us….

Life doesn’t make sense Pete.

A hard road ahead but to be blessed to celebrate a 50 years marriage is testament to both you and your Lady wife.

It affects people in different ways. My mother because she was confused could become angry and violent at times which was opposite to her nature. Yet my mother in law was very placid and quiet but just used to mumble.I don't know if you have heard of the Admiral nurses they are similar to Mcmillan nurses but they deal in all types of dementia. They are very professional and are a great help. Your GP should be able to get you in touch. Once again best wishes mate.

We guessed for some while, went through the process and the brain scans but the final diagnosis of Dementia/Alzheimer’s only happened late January. I did let the folks in the Messymascot know about it because tbh we didn’t know what to do/behave and we’ve been learning ever since. This thread though I was genuinely upset to see Bruce Willis given the same diagnosis as I always loved him as an actor ……
