Could he just be doing that to prevent muscle wastage, with no impact on the legs i can see that this would be possible so soon, but running is another story

reckon this too. very light spinning on a bike will help immensely in preventing muscle shrinkage.

still don't hold any hope of him returning this season, but WC looks like it could be a realistic aim?

I love how happy he always seems to be. Great kind of player to have at the club, and he's quickly becoming one of my favorite players too.

Completely agree. He does seem one of the happiest guys around. He's always hashtagging #oviedobaby on twitter, and does seem really happy with the support he gets from the fans. It's just a pity his best position is where Baines plays! However, he's 24 and played quite decent out of position, so there's plenty of time.

Great to see that video, it looked like a very long way back for him at the time of the injury. He seems to have a very positive mental attitude and that will help him. Still wouldn't bank on seeing him playing before pre season though.

Oviedo LB and Baines LW IMO. :)

Absolutely phenomenal!

The way Bryan has conducted himself since coming to the club has been nothing short of inspirational. He is the perfect example of a consummate professional,a true gent, in an era where the attitude and behaviour of some footballers is disgusting.
Sums up absolutely everything about our club and why I am so proud to be a supporter. Apologies for going a bit over the top, this has just really made my day and I'm so happy for the lad :)

OVIEDO BABY! :D

I'd have it the other way around. Baines isn't the fastest player around (although he has a killer ), and doesn't constantly take players on, but what he does well is find space with clever runs. Oviedo seems to look a better attacker when up against people.

I'd play Oviedo at LM/LW, however we've got plenty options in that position already (Pienaar, Gerry, Mirallas, Naismith, McGeady), it's also a position I think Martinez will be looking at in the summer (a winger that can play both wings). It gives us plenty of options for wingers with a variety of different styles; speedy, tricky, clever.

hes crap playing LM/LW. I'd have him over Baines at LB from this seasons performance. I think anyone would tbh. Baines wouldn't be that good at LM/LW either because he wouldn't have pienaar to play with

I think it was the Stevenage game that Martinez was trying Bryan as a RW that cut in - is inverted winger the correct term? Might have been interesting to see what that would have been like once he and Coleman got used to it.
