Maybe can make some sort of appearance before the end of the season. Hell, if he even got on the bench I reckon it'd give the team a huge boost and they'd win all of the games they have left.

no really how are you holding the opinion that this has been a ruined season?
yes we're frustratingly out of the cups but we're one week off APRIL and the media is punting us as still being in the hunt for champions league in Roberto's first season with us
We've won 8 in a row at home, and though we struggle away- aside from not winning silverware this has been a very good season

This. He offered a lot more. Baines, is undoubtedly a talented player, but he suited Moyes' style far more than he suits Bobby's, we played to Baines' strengths, whereas now, we play to the teams strengths, Oviedo really did leech onto that, and his runs, and subsequent goals were no surprise!

However, i won't be naive to say he'a a better player, because... well, he isnt, and i can't really write off Baines, based on 5-6 appearances at LB by certain individual, but Baines musn't be a solid starter and when Oviedo is back, it'll be great to have competition!
