Tony Hibbert likely to play for the first time since February

Be good to see him back on the pitch. Be good to give Leighton a rest, he's played a lot of footy so far with england adding to his workload.

Still think Garbutt deserves a go. He looked about our best player in pre-season.

Garbutt will start. Expect Oviedo to get 20mins or so towards the end.

I won't be able to watch him in future without being worried everytime someone tackles him.

....read the report on one game he played recently which described a 'crunching' tackle he made. He'll be building his own confidence by not holding back but I know what you mean. When the incident happened the football medical expert I know said that type of break normally happens at a point where there has been a previous injury. I don't know his history or perhaps there was a weakness there he never knew about, but I suspect he still has some reinforcement in there now.

He clearly still adjusting to playing ... I thought he started to come into it before he was subbed , to early to tell if he can become the same player he was pre-injury

why was he playing behind the striker with mcgeady out wide?

apologies to bobby if that wasn't the formation, just seemed it
yeah I saw that too, him and McGeady seemed to be switching positions a bit.

Thought he gave a lot of protection to Garbutt so at least we weren't getting ripped apart on both flanks. I have to say I much prefer him to McGeady. He offers us something going forward and defensively, and he actually passes the ball. I think he could be a big influence in helping us get over our defensive woes by keeping him in front of Baines/Garbutt on the wing, at least while Pienaar is out.
