Howard, Coleman, Jagielka, Distin, Baines, Barry, McCarthy, Barkley, Oviedo, Mirallas, Lukaku.

Robles, Stones, Gibson, Besic, Pienaar, McGeady, Eto'o.

Seems like a good first team at the minute, shame we are destined to never have them all on the pitch at the same time......

Pienaar is still a better winger than Oviedo when both are fully fit.

Only because he's more accustomed to the position. The thing that really frustrates me about Pienaar is the fact we'll break with some pace down the left side, he'll get the ball and then come to a complete halt, letting the defenders scramble back into position. Oviedo is a lot faster that Pienaar and wouldn't take long, IMO, to get used to playing left wing. That, along with Mirallas down the right and Barkley through the middle, would greatly enhance the pace of our attack, especially on the counter.

Our problem isn't the lack of pace as such, it's the fact we aren't playing through teams. Pienaar offers us a chance to do that and Oviedo at the moment does not. It's not like the teams we are struggling against are being particularly adventurous and offering us the wide open spaces to run into.

You can't play through teams at a walking pace, and that's what I'm seeing a lot too often -- get it up to the wing, stop, pass it back or sideways, never take a man on. Pienaar may have the better ball skills than Oviedo, but I'm willing to bet more pace down the flanks would see us open up those team we have trouble with.

Naismith?

Honestly mate i knew i forgot someone ! Naismith is one player i always had a soft spot for even when it werent working for him, he always kept his head up and kept fighting, i personally think Naismith is at his best as a second striker but in terms of the team he is played on the right, he would certaintly be in my first 17. Im not sure if i would play him in the first 11 or have him on the bench, he would defininately be in the 17 though.

Love Bryan, but the guy has been out for nearly a year. Don't think we will see much of Bryan this season unless he starts doing amazingly in training.

we defo miss him! can't wait to have in back in the fold. Players like McGeady will defo have to up their game for his return otherwise he's a sure starter in most I think!
