I think he's done well since he came into the side. Doesn't make as many suicide rund as Baines olus he actually stops the cross from coming in. Another one sadly who will be straight out the team as soon as Baines is even half fit.
I personally would him on over BarnesWill be gutted if Oviedo leaves. Such a great character and 100% committed. Never really had a chance at Everton which makes it even more disappointing. Pound for pound probably not as good as Baines but whenever he plays we seem to do well and he takes a better corner.
He is one of only three players at the club that keeps me enthused about Everton at the moment. If we lost stones and McCarthy too, I'd feel like throwing in the towel.
I should read my post before I send it lolI personally would him on over Barnes
I think he's technically he's a better
Also seem to be very comfortable with both feet
And defensively he was outstanding against Chelsea
Stopping their wide players getting balls into the box
I said on this forum 2 months about selling bainrs when we had the chance to Utd for 16mil???
And used the mine to buy a quality attacking player
With Oviedo & garbutt coming through
We now could have another quality attacking player
Instead of watching tje like of mcgeady & pienaar
But got slagged for it
I really rate the lad. I think he could accept playing second fiddle to Baines but must be soul destroying when even a half fit Baines in dire form comes straight back in to the team after you've been playing well, and the likes of Etoo Naismith Barkley and even Lukaku have all been preferred on the flank. I wouldn't blame him at all if he moved. Plus he'd have the chance to play for a half decent manager who developed Baines and Coleman into the prems top full backs before someone destroyed their confidence.
