Plus, they have more potential to compete with us than Burnley. Burnley take up one relegation spot next season.

Burnley have actually spent more seasons in the top flight.

Yeah up until about 50 years ago, Leeds and Burnley really had a similar history. Then Leeds hit their purple patch in the 70’s which everyone remembers, at a time that coincided with Burnley going into free fall to the 4th division. Which is probably why most people in modern times view Leeds as the “bigger” club.

As a fellow football league founding member I want clubs like Burnley to do well, but then you look at their relatively lacklustre support this season (failing to sell away allocations and loads of empty seats at home games, when they’re fighting for their lives), and I think “what is the point of them really?” ?
