Burnley chasing a rivalry with us is like a hideously ugly guy/gal seeing someone in a club that they've been hung up on for years, that used to be a total stunner but has lost much of the spark with age. It gives them false hope that they have a chance. They end up dead angry after realising that the status quo hasn't changed at all and they're still getting shot down and laughed at, or worse yet pitied.

I read the below article on Social media this morning. The comments below it were colourful to say the least

Like West Ham, and Newcastle before them, Burnley seem to believe that they are involved in an eternal blood feud with us, and can't wait to put us to the sword next season. Most of them seem to think they are already operating on another level than us, because they have signed a few players this summer, like most promoted teams do

Please prepare yourselves for some 'megabantz' this season from these lot

The type of person who can tolerate waiting for one of those horrendously poorly optimised local paper websites (See the Echo for instance) to load, endure the pop-ups and then get right into the comments section of what are always uniquely bland clickbait articles is obviously not right in the head.

That sort of person can't realistically be seen as representative of the greater population. They're like the weird shut-ins who ring up TalkSport to argue with bantzladz professional contrarians like Andy Goldstein.

99.9% of Burnley fans won't give Everton two thoughts apart from around the 2 matchdays we play them.
