Massive 3 points today in a game that was otherwise not exactly the barnstorming romp I thought it might have been. A good performance though; confident and assured, we never looked overly threatened and I was always expecting three points. We're building... We're slowly building.
Burnley saw we started without much in the way of width and just kettled and contained us for most of the game.

Mirallas on that pitch it would have been a different matter.

We just won 3-1 away mate. Not the word i'd use.

Well no offense but it was Burnley. They had a decent chance in the second half with Ings right after we got our 3rd. The lack of energy levels before the 80th minute were not pleasing to see. I know we had a Euro night but we made 6 changes so those who had a rest mid week should have shown more energy. We were a bit too casual at times but being Burnley they didn't have the quality.

Great away performance that. Thought alcaraz and distin looked solid. Baines was brilliant going forward. Coleman was strangely quiet. Barry and Mcarthy were decent as was Osman until the last 30 minutes when he was obviously frigged and couldn't do anything but give the ball away. Lukaku was poor for me lost the ball a lot up top and when Eto'o went up front we controlled the game better as it stuck more. Eto'o was immense, Lukaku will learn a lot from him. Good performance tho, away from home after a European game. two difficult aways out of the way this week. Well done blues!!!

Well I wasn't expecting absolute class from either side to be frank, but we buried the ghosts of 2009 and a win is a win. Awful conditions from what I could hear on my radio.

Last time the commentary box was that blowy was when John Terry sneaked in with a hooker..... ba-dum-tsch... Ithankyou!

The conditions suited cloggers better than a slick passing team. But we still won! Burnley are absolute turd, almost as bad as Derby in 2007/08..... In fact screw that, by this point Derby had a win!

And speaking of 2007/08, if we beat Swansea next week we'll be 2 points up on the corresponding tally after 10 games. Still been a terrible season though.

Koff Osman!

Not our finest performance but it was 3 points away from home and no injuries against a side that didn't play too badly, lets just string a few wins together now and try and take advantage of an easier set of fixtures than we have faced so far. Luckily we are not too far away from the other top sides due to them not getting off to a great start either. If we can just get our act together things can be looking much brighter by Christmas.
