Him working while Everton are on isn’t really a problem, half the team not working while Everton are on is!
I find Tofee is the key. He came about and spanked the bleach merchants with “its not the hope that kills you, it’s the hope that keeps you alive’. Our opening 5 games was down to him I feel. And we need his positive energy for Burnley.

Sunday morning, sober watching this "live" a few hours late. Nothing less than 3 points is good enough. Get a grip CA and sort this out. Please dont ruin another Sunday dinner.

Coleman seems to be back for this, unless he is training byself

Our confidence and faith in this team has taken a massive hit in recent weeks and reverted back to last year’s levels.

However, as its Christmas I will try to be positive, if we get a win tomorrow then we will be right in the mix for Europe.

This league is going to be so unpredictable this year that any team that can stay relatively solid throughout will do well. You don’t have to be a fantastic team to get a good finish this year so hopefully Carlo can use all of his experience to grind a European spot for us next year and we can make strides again in the summer to get a more balanced squad overall

Despite our recent poor form, the good thing for us this year is for the vast majority of sides will have lots of unexpected results and dropped points it seems.

2/3 wins on the spin and we’re right back up there. If we’re within touching distance of Europe when the window opens, Carlo gets a bit of backing who knows.

SOME OF THE ANCELOTTI PRE MATCH BURNLEY P/C

Carlo on injuries

No [new concerns]. Apart from Coleman and Digne, all the players are available. Coleman is training individually

Carlo On performances

Of course the result was not good against Leeds, but it was an open game.
We want to stay attached to the top of the table so it will be important to have a result tomorrow

Carlo On five subs

I'm not surprised [it didn't come up in meeting], because there is discussion about this.
I think, in the end, it will be important to take care of the health and welfare of the players

January transfer window plans

We are not focused there. We have eight games in one month. We are focused there. Not on January

Carlo On finding balance

We are good offensively, we had problems defensively.
Every game is a test to see how we are & tomorrow I hope we can be better on this aspect

On expectations against Burnley

I think it will be the same game [as first in charge]. Burnley didn’t change its identity, it’s a strong one and a strong organisation.
They are better now compared to the start of the season, we know what kind of game to expect.

Carlo On fans returning

It's really good news. Football without fans is not the football we want to play or to watch.
The supporters are a really important part of this environment, without the supporters it looks like a different sport.

Carlo On expectations after almost a year

This season, there is a lot of competition in front. We are still in front, we want to stay attached and prepare well for the second part of the season.
We are where we want to be in this moment.

Carlo On defensive system

I think it's an emergency, without two important players like Coleman and Digne. It is only for this reason.
We have the quality in the squad to play with three centre backs because we have a lot of good centre-backs

Carlo On James form

He is in a good condition. He had a problem as everyone knows, but this week he trained well and he is back.
We have to consider for this player to travel around the world for international football will not be easy.

Carlo On Michael Keane

We were talking about consistency, he had it this year. He's reached a good level and has been able to keep that level with good performances.

Carlo On Richarlison

He was suspended for three games and we suffered without him. He did well in the last two games I think, and was really important against Fulham. He is back

Carlo On midfielders as wing backs and Nkounkou

Nkounkou was not in the squad because I had 11 players, I put Iwobi on the left. He's still young, he needs more experience, he needs to work more.
He will have time in the next game because we have a lot of games.

Carlo On Tosun

Cenk is doing really well, his recovery was not simple but good. His condition is improving, the fact that we have a lot of games in December I think he's going to find space to play. I think he is really good and efficient in the box and I like his quality.
